Athens/Crete/Rhodes – to further firm up the basis for future growth in Greece, the shares of the four Greek operating companies of the SolarKapital group will in future be held by a single SolarKapital entity based in Germany. With the consent of the shareholders, the implementation will take place in the near future. The new shareholder structure will reduce complexity and comes along with efficiency enhancement, primarily in the form of cost savings. Expecting further stabilization of the general business conditions in Greece, it remains the goal of the group to develop new pv plants and/or to acquire existing pv plants in Crete and Rhodes, but also on the mainland. Besides this and with a view to further investments and the capital controls currently in place, Andreas Leimbach, Managing Partner of the SolarKapital Group, recently conducted encouraging meetings with high-level representatives of the Government and the Central Bank of Greece in Athens.
