Successful Launch of Investment Initiative „Lumen 2"

Following the successful initiation, capital acquisition, execution of various acquisition transactions, and the positive operational development of our investment initiative “Lumen” in 2025, SolarKapital is now launching the next phase of its growth strategy in the German photovoltaic market with “Lumen 2”. Once again, the focus lies on existing assets with a reliable earnings base, predictable cash flows, and optimization potential during ongoing operations. The initiative therefore builds directly on the positive experience and successful track record achieved to date. A key contribution to this development was the successful add-on acquisition completed in March 2026 of a 1.1 MWp rooftop PV plant in Kodersdorf. This asset is located in the immediate vicinity of the ground-mounted PV plant already held in the portfolio and complements the existing portfolio in a strategically and geographically meaningful way. The transaction exemplifies our structured approach of selectively expanding regional clusters, leveraging operational synergies, and systematically realizing value potential beyond the mere acquisition itself.

With “Lumen 2”, we are consistently continuing this proven investment strategy: the acquisition of operational infrastructure assets combined with an entrepreneurial and long-term management approach. The first transaction (3.2 MWp ground-mounted PV plant in Altentreptow) of the new investment initiative — which remains open to new investors as part of a second closing — has already been successfully completed; the investment phase is planned for the full year 2026. The objective is to offer our investors, through “Lumen 2”, an investment based on secured remuneration structures, stable recurring revenues, and sustainable development potential, thereby enabling above-average returns while maintaining a defensive risk profile. Following the two most recent acquisitions, the SK Group now operates more than 30 PV plants in Germany with a total installed capacity of approximately 24 MWp. Including the assets in Greece and France, the portfolio now comprises around 80 PV plants with more than 50 MWp of nominal capacity.

Sebastian Leonhard, Authorized Signatory of SolarKapital GmbH: “We are very satisfied with the development of Lumen. The investment phase was successfully completed, the integration of the assets has gone smoothly, and operational performance is developing steadily and very positively overall. Particularly in a market environment currently characterized by uncertainty and ongoing debate, it has become clear that our focus on existing assets with secured EEG remuneration is clearly paying off — especially in cases where periods of negative electricity prices play little or no significant role. This development reinforces our conviction to continue along the chosen path with Lumen 2 and to keep offering our investors attractive yet solid investment opportunities in the German PV market in the future.”
